Itinerary Overview
Anchorage (Seward)/Dutch Harbor
Daily Itinerary
Day 1 Jun 26, 2026 - Anchorage (Seward)
Seward and its surroundings comprise a land of memorable beauty--saltwater bays, blue glaciers, majestic mountains and alpine valleys. Located on the Kenai Peninsula at the head of Resurrection Bay, the city is one of Alaska's oldest communities, and also one of the most scenic.
Day 2 Jun 27, 2026 - Kenai Fjords
Magnificent Kenai Fjords stirs the souls of artists inspired by locations like this. The ice-sculpted "Alaska's playground" begs to be explored. Long, intricate trails afford some of the best views, including an up-close encounter with scenic Exit Glacier, the most famous of more than 30 glaciers surrounding spectacular Harding Icefield and the crown jewel of Kenai Fjords. This unrelenting blanket of white is punctured by peaks of high, rocky mountains, which are best viewed at the crest of the steep, 4.5 mile-long Harding Icefield Trail. In addition to hiking, nearly every other outdoor activity can be found here, including kayaking, river rafting, mountain climbing, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, tours by land, air and sea - even dogsledding. Glacier viewing is popular in the most impressive of the park's seven long fjords - Aialik Bay, where glaciers launch icebergs into the sea. Resurrection Bay holds the perfect opportunity to see humpback whales, orcas, seals, sea lions, otters, porpoises, and puffins. Blue-green Kenai River is perfect for trophy-size fishing.
Day 3 Jun 28, 2026 - Kodiak Island
Kodiak, home to Alaska's largest fishing fleet, offers a taste of Alaska's Russian heritage. Visit Russian Orthodox Church, and the Baranof Museum (located in Alaska's oldest wooden structure, a historic fur storehouse). Over 200 species of birds have been recorded in the Kodiak Archipelago, and bird watching is a main attraction. Special wildlife viewing is found at Miller Point within Ft. Abercrombie State Historic Park. During the early summer, gray, humpback, and minke whales can be spotted as they migrate through nearby Whale Passage. Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge was established to protect the habitat of the brown bear. Kodiak is home to extensive fishing, hunting and photographic opportunities.
Day 4 Jun 29, 2026 - Katmai National Park
Encompassing millions of acres in Alaska, Katmai Nation Park contains an amazing array of pristine wilderness, sparkling rivers and streams, rugged coastline, green valley and active glaciers and volcanoes. Currently, there are fourteen active volcanoes in the park, but none of which are actually erupting.
A rich variety of wildlife can be found in the park as well including the awe-inspiring brown bear.
Day 5 Jun 30, 2026 - Ugashik National Wildlife Preserve
Day 6 Jul 01, 2026 - Aniakchak National Monument & Preserve
Day 7 Jul 02, 2026 - Unga Island
Day 8 Jul 03, 2026 - Captain's Choice
Day 9 Jul 04, 2026 - Akutan
Day 10 Jul 05, 2026 - Dutch Harbor
Dutch Harbour is a port in the Aleutian Islands. Geologically, the archipelago is a continuation of the Aleutian Range, which is on the Alaskan mainland, and contains a number of volcanic peaks. Few trees, all of stunted growth, are found, but grasses grow in abundance. Although a few good harbours are found in the archipelago, navigation is dangerous because of almost perpetual fog and numerous reefs.
